Michelle Burke

Michelle Burke is a published Author, Consultant, Communication Strategist and Co-Founder of Interact Games LLC. After nearly twenty years in business, she consults and coaches to individuals, entrepreneurs and Fortune 100 and 500 organizations to communicate more effectively, focus on results and "own vs. rent" their jobs. She promotes a "solution and service mindedness" and emphasizes the Five Core Competencies. Michelle BurkeHer passion is to find ways to contribute to the development of high-performance teams in business and in education. Michelle specializes in bridging communication and cultural gaps between all levels of management and staff. She works proactively to increase productivity through improving leadership effectiveness with managers, supervisors and by building team collaboration. Michelle has conducted numerous seminars, management teambuilding sessions, and designed and delivered dynamic training programs for organizations in almost every industry in North America, Europe and Canada.

In 1997, Michelle authored the acclaimed book, The Valuable Office Professional, endorsed by Ken Blanchard. She also co-developed The Productivity Cycle™, a communication tool proven to enhance teamwork and increase productivity endorsed by Stanford University.

Business Week's Frontier Magazine featured Michelle on their June 1999 cover and in a story on becoming a guru in the field. Michelle has also been featured in the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, Wall Street Journal, Star Ledger and has been quoted in a variety of publications including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, HR, Training and Chief Learning Officer Magazine. She has appeared on numerous local and national radio and television programs and won the regional 1999 Working Woman's Entrepreneurial Excellence Award. Michelle was a syndicated, feature columnist on website for working administrative professionals and is currently a Featured Writer for website for Office Professionals. Michelle is an articulate motivational speaker whose humor, wit and enthusiasm motivates and inspires her audience. She has trained and coached over 50,000 staff employees and is constantly looking for ways to improve organizational communication, morale and productivity.

Michelle's entrepreneurial spirit has inspired her to develop educational tools and games for work, home and play by partnering with Lilamani de Silva from the UK. Their training tools INTERACT IceBreaker™ and INTERACT teamBuilder™, experience the power of play at work are more like games because they believe if you are having fun, you are more likely to learn and apply it. They have been utilized by Microsoft, Boeing Leadership Center and Ernst & Young to name a few.

These two games are designed to help organizations to interact more productively and have fun. The INTERACT teamBuilder™, tool is designed to have values-based dialogs about business related-topics. This niche allows Managers, Departmental Heads and others who want to take the lead in their organization and bring people together to build more cohesive and collaborative teams.

Michelle also gets tremendous joy in giving back to her community through volunteer work. She has been a volunteer with The American Cancer Society and participated in Team in Training to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and for Relay for Life. She is a member of Ladies Who Launch, Linkedn and SmartyLA. She enjoys reading, travel, playing games and is a sports enthusiast.


Lilamani de Silva

Lilamani de Silva was trained in the sciences, marketing and psychology receiving her Masters in Biochemistry at the University of Otago, New Zealand. In an effort to further her career she moved to the UK. 

Lilamani de SilvaWith a need to express a latent creative bent she moved from the microscopic to the macroscopic accepting the post of Clinical Audit Facilitator, at a London based hospital, eventually procuring the position of Asst Press Officer at London Zoo. Her strategic abilities, combined with her public relations background and negotiation skills were invaluable in structuring these fledgling departments. Other career opportunities since, have included life coaching, and the research, development and production of natural history documentaries for television. It was during one of these forays that she met her colleague Michelle a like minded entrepreneur with whom she co-founded Interact Games LLC.

Lilamani's broad range of work experiences, sound knowledge of the sciences as well as the arts and her innate curiosity have served her well in creating the type of products that inspire and engage families, friends and work colleagues. In her spare time she enjoys painting, tennis and squash, swimming, reading, loves film and has travelled the globe.
